Parked Domains
Learn more about parked domains - what they are and in what instances it's useful to have your domains parked.
There are 2 services you'll need for a functioning website - a domain and a hosting plan for it. If you type the domain in your web browser, you see the content that’s uploaded in the website hosting account, but if that domain address is not linked to such an account or to an e-mail service, it's parked. To put it differently, the domain name is registered and you are its owner, but it does not have any content of its own. Rather, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” webpage from the registrar company, or it could be directed to some other URL of your choice. The benefit of parking a domain address is that you can keep it and make sure that nobody else is going to take it. At the same time, it won't take a slot for a hosted Internet domain within your account. You can also park domain names if you have a .com, for instance, and you register domains with other extensions like .net, .org or country-code ones to direct them to the main website in order to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Shared Website Hosting
When you have a
shared website hosting with us, you'll be able to park each of your domain names easily. The function is available for the domain names registered through our company, and not for the ones that are only hosted here and directed from some other company, since a domain can be parked only through its registrar. Our Domain Manager tool will allow you to pick from a number of templates and you're going to be able to add custom text to any one of them. Redirecting a domain name to an alternative URL is as easy as just typing the web address and saving it. If you want to host any of your parked domain addresses, it takes just a click to do it and our system is going to do the rest - changing the name servers, setting up a domain folder in your account, creating the necessary DNS records, etc. For simpler control, you are going to be able to filter the domain addresses registered within the account by their status - parked or hosted.

Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers
When you acquire a
semi-dedicated server plan from us, you can register and park as many domains as you wish. As opposed to other providers, we will not charge you an additional fee for this feature. You can park a domain name with only two clicks using the Domain Manager instrument, which you can access via the Hepsia website hosting CP. If you choose to use a template, you'll have a few different ones available and you will be able to add custom text to any of them. The feature-rich Domain Manager enables you to set filters to see only the hosted or only the parked domain names in your account. With the same instrument, you can also un-park a domain and host it in your account with a click. Our system will change the name servers of the domain address and will create its folder in the File Manager section, and the required DNS records for it, automatically.
