A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you delete an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten email address under the very same domain, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial in case you run some business, for example. Since you may start receiving spam, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters in order to get only real messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting
If you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a shared website hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a few features, but it is surprisingly simple to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires only a single click. All the email addresses that you have set up will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only need to click the "Catch-all" button for the particular email address. Our system will inform you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the very same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all feature can be activated easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll see a small-size icon handily located directly next to each of them. With just a mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature using the context menu that will come into sight. In case any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
